Rice Fire - Where It Started - Downed Wires

Rice Canyon Road in Rainbow. Reputedly, this is where the Rice Fire started (that's the fire that nearly burned our place!)

This pole may in fact be the culprit.

Nearby pole warning.

This pole may in fact be the culprit. Note the missing top crossbar and the cables hanging down? I want to return and get better photos.

About 100 years south of the suspect pole that may have started the fire, the fire burned this house.

Close up of the burned house. 5 cars were also destroyed.

The five destroyed cars. Not sure how many were usable before the fire, however!

This house and the one up the hill behind it burned. They were next to the Red Mt. Fire Station.

The fire burned right up to the fire station on Red Mountain, doing damage to their sign on Mission Road. Note the gas pipes next to it - which did not cause problems.
