The Cook Bank Building. No, this building is not 2000 years old. It was in pretty good shape until a film company reduced it to this state in the 60s for a movie.

A standard problem in the desert!

Old mechant building. Rhyolite grew to 6000+ inhabitants in a couple of years and died just as fast as the mines did not pay off.

Our guide for a tour of the bottle house was a hoot-and she knew her history. The silhouette in the background was here friend and co-host.
