Academy
can bring training to you. We have highly experienced instructors
who will bring all the equipment and materials to your facility and
present a course just for your group. We can customize the
presentations to your particular needs, including training on your
equipment. About half the course time will be spent on hands-on
exercises, using teaching techniques we've developed to provide the
most effective learning experience in cabling installation.
Most basic and introductory wiring seminars are 2 days. Fiber optic
courses can be as long as 5 days, depending on your training needs.
Wiring courses are sometimes extended to 3 days to allow training on
certification testers of the customers's choice. We can extend the
program to include more hands-on exercises or training on specific
equipment. With sufficient notice, we can include vendors offering
specific products or newly-introduced state-of-the-art products not yet
widely available. Contact us with your requests.

- Class
Size:
We can accommodate almost any number of students in our class. We've
done classes for 2 up to 200 students. If the class is larger, we break the
class into two or more sessions.

- Instructors: All instructors are trained
professional instructors, properly certified, with years of real-world
experience.

Materials:
Each student gets a copy of the appropriate textbooks, student manual
with slides and supplemental reference materials.

- Tools
and Consumables: All tools and supplies are provided. If the
customer wishes to use particular brands or types of components, that
can usually be arranged, with sufficient notice.

- Certification: All VDV Academy fiber optic
programs are approved by The Fiber Optic Association and students may
take the FOA CFOT test and receive membership for one year in The FOA.
All wiring students get a VDV Academy Certificate of completion of the
course.
