Howard Wolery's Racing Photo Albums
In the Mid-1950s, Howard Wolery of Nashville, Tennessee and various friends packed up his MG-TD and went off to the races. These races were generally held on airbases, either active SAC (Strategic Air Command) based or abandoned WWII training bases. Howard took lots of pictures and kept many in an album. I've been reviewing and restoring one album and these are some of the pictures he took. After I finished interviewing Howard about this album, I gave them to the Watkins Glen racing library in 2001.
Howard is shown with his Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider he bought in 1958. |
